Tucson Sport 2018 uses a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower, front-wheel or 4-wheel drive, priced in the US from 25,200 USD.

The new version of Tucson has more power than the current version thanks to the 2.4-liter engine, 181 horsepower and 237 Nm of torque with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Customers can choose between two drive versions.

The new Sport version uses a 2.4-liter engine, adding an option to the current 1.6-liter and 2-liter versions.

Previously, US customers had two options: the 1.6-liter version (4-cylinder, turbocharged, 175 horsepower and 264 Nm of torque) and the 2-liter version (4-cylinder, 164 horsepower, 204 Nm). Customers in Vietnam now have the same choice.

In addition to the new engine, the Tucson Sport has new highlights. A chrome exhaust system and 19-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin is a leather-wrapped steering wheel and dual-zone automatic climate control. The driver also has a series of support systems such as lane change assist and blind spot warning with rear collision warning.

In the US, the front-wheel-drive Tucson Sport starts at $25,200 and the all-wheel-drive version starts at $26,600. That means the new engine version is only $1,400 more expensive than the current base SEL, while getting a more powerful engine and more premium equipment.

In the crossover segment, not only in Vietnam, but also in the US, competitors are competing with each other to win more customers and increase market share. The upgraded SEL version of the Tucson was just launched at the end of 2017 and now has a more powerful engine version to compete with its rival Honda CR-V.
