Readers of Nghe An newspaper donated over 40 million VND to a boy who was burned by boiling water.
(Baonghean.vn) - After Baonghean.vn published the article: "Sympathy for the boy with severe burns" (March 13), about Le Van Nhat (born September 18, 2014) in Luan Phu hamlet, Dong Van commune, Thanh Chuong district, many readers donated money for the boy's treatment at the National Institute of Burns.
Up to now, 159 individuals, 6 organizations and unions have participated in direct support and transfer money through the account of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dong Van commune with a total amount of 40,510,000 VND. In addition, children of Dong Van commune who are working and living in Taiwan, Japan and Korea have also sent representatives to visit and directly support Nhat's family.
Representatives of the Party Committee, People's Committee, Fatherland Front, and Youth Union of Dong Van commune presented the above amount of money to Mr. Binh's wife. With the support of the benefactors, Nhat had his second skin graft surgery, he was able to eat a few spoonfuls of thin porridge and say a few simple words, and his health is gradually recovering.

Previously, on March 5, the family was preparing a feast and boiling a large pot of water to cook chicken. Nhat ran over and slipped, fell into the pot of water and was burned over 50%. After first aid at Thanh Chuong District Hospital and the Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital, Nhat was taken by ambulance to the National Institute of Burns for treatment.
The family situation is very difficult, the child himself is being treated for pneumonia and otitis media. His younger brother, who is just over one year old, also has to be hospitalized for pneumonia. Therefore, the couple takes turns taking care of the child in the hospital and cannot go to work to earn money. When Nhat was burned, they had no money to pay the hospital fees.
After Nghe An Newspaper published the article, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Dong Van commune also assigned the Commune Youth Union to write a letter calling on Dong Van's children and people from all over the country to support Nhat to have funds for treatment.
