Be careful when buying airline tickets from unknown sources to avoid the situation of buying a ticket but still not being able to fly.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam reiterated that recently, many passengers have had difficulty paying by credit card when purchasing airline tickets online or have been refused transportation when using illegal credit cards to purchase airline tickets online of airlines in general and Vietnamese airlines in particular.

To ensure the rights of passengers as well as airlines, the Civil Aviation Authority recommends that passengers should buy airline tickets through ticket offices or official agents of the airlines.

For online airline ticket purchases, passengers need to pay attention to the following requirements during the payment process: ensure the card is eligible for online payment, the card is registered for online banking services, the card is valid, and has sufficient payment limit.

Passengers should note to present documents related to cardholder identification such as payment cards, identification documents and electronic tickets when requested by the airline.

Passengers need to be careful when buying tickets through intermediary channels without clear addresses or origins.

At the same time, passengers should access electronic information pages or call the airline's passenger support hotline to find out information related to buying airline tickets online when they need to use air transport services.

Previously,Tuoi Tre Onlinereflects the situation of a series of customers losing money on tickets but not being able to fly because the tickets were paid for with someone else's credit card. Even when they got on the plane, they were "dragged" off the plane.

Cases of customers reporting being refused transportation due to payment by credit card occurred at Vietjet Air.

Explaining this reason, a Vietjet representative said that because the airline has invested in upgrading its security system, anything related to payment that has a risk of fraud will be blocked by the system and tickets will not be issued...

Faced with this situation, Mr. Vo Huy Cuong - Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam asked Vietjet to specifically report on the fact that many passengers could not fly.Youthreflect

According to Mr. Cuong, the situation of being "dragged" off a plane has happened before in Australia.

According to Mr. Cuong, there is a risk that passengers will not be able to fly when purchasing with a Visa card because the third-level agent does business haphazardly, buying tickets for customers, delivering the ticket code, then asking for a refund, causing passengers to not be able to fly at the airport.
