Before the news that Mr. Tran Anh Tu will withdraw from the two positions of General Director of VPF and Head of the V-League Executive Board, the boss Doan Nguyen Duc seems to have "cooled down", no longer wanting to escalate the issue of him demanding to quit football as well as ordering the HA Gia Lai Club to quit the V-League.

Previously, after being elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of VPF for the third term, Mr. Tran Anh Tu was appointed by VPF as General Director. At that time, Mr. Tu affirmed that he would only hold the position of General Director of VPF for a period of time, before finding a replacement.

“As soon as I find a replacement, I will quit. To be honest, I have too much work, flying back and forth between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City many times. There is a mountain of work, so if someone else does well in this position, of course I have to step down to focus on other jobs,” said Mr. Tu.

Mr. Duc welcomed after Mr. Tu withdrew from two seats at VPF.

If everything goes according to plan, the new General Director of VPF will be announced next April, at the latest in May. However, up to now, VPF has not found the right person. Meanwhile, the position of Head of the V-League Executive Board (replacing the position of Head of the tournament's Organizing Committee) of Mr. Tu is also urgently looking for a new person and is scheduled to be replaced next April.

Before Mr. Tran Anh Tu's move to withdraw from 2 important seats at VPF, Mr. Duc welcomed it.

“I fight for the rights of my team and other clubs because I cannot accept the story of one person taking on too much work. On behalf of VPF shareholders, I would like to thank Mr. Tu if he really gives up 2 seats,” said Mr. Duc.

Regarding quitting football and letting HA Gia Lai Club quit V-League, Mr. Duc affirmed that if Mr. Tu gave up so many positions for Vietnamese football, he would no longer care about the head of VPF running for Vice President of VFF, and would not quit football anymore.

“As long as Mr. Tu keeps his statement of resigning from the two positions at VPF, I don’t care if he runs for the position of VFF president. As long as he doesn’t take on everything and can’t do it all, then it’s worth opposing.

I hope Mr. Tu will do what he said, give up his seat to others, HA Gia Lai will still play football in V-League".
