More than 1,000 youth union members responded to Earth Hour 2018
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 24, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union coordinated with relevant departments and branches to organize a launching ceremony to respond to Earth Hour 2018.
Attending the launching ceremony were delegates: Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; Pham Tuan Vinh - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors and more than 1,000 youth union members of 5 grassroots youth union branches in Vinh City.

"Earth Hour" 2018 will officially start from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday (March 24) with the slogan“Today I live greener”. This is the 8th year Nghe An has participated in responding to Earth Hour.
The launching ceremony of Earth Hour 2018 is one of the traditional activities to raise awareness among people, especially the young generation, about the consequences and impacts of climate change on the Earth; solutions to minimize the impact.

At the ceremony, comrade Huynh Thanh Dien called on residential communities, businesses, agencies and units to change together, turn off unnecessary electrical equipment for 1 hour and more.

More than 1,000 youth union members from 5 branches: Provincial agencies; Enterprises; Nghe An College of Education; Vinh Medical University; Le Viet Thuat High School, representing the young generation of Nghe An, pledged to actively participate in responding to Earth Hour 2018. Immediately after the launching ceremony, union members, students and pupils organized a bicycle parade through the main streets of Vinh city.
