Exciting cross-country race before the Provincial Sports Festival
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 25, at the Sports Training Center (Vinh City), more than 50 athletes participated in the Cross Country event within the framework of the 8th Nghe An Provincial Sports Festival.

The Cross Country Competition is an annual sports activity to promote and enhance the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" associated with the movement "All people unite to build a grassroots cultural life".
Thereby, encouraging and developing the cross-country training movement for all subjects in Nghe An province; creating conditions for athletes to compete, improve their professional skills, and select outstanding athletes to add to the provincial team.

Cross-country is the fourth of 12 events to be held before the congress. The tournament has more than 50 athletes selected from 10 districts, towns and cities. Teams compete in the 3,000m for women and 5,000m for men, competing for 4 sets of medals: men's individual, women's individual, men's team, women's team.
At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the men's team gold medal to Hoang Mai Town team; the women's team gold medal to Thanh Chuong team. In the women's singles, the gold medal went to Pham Thi Kieu (Thanh Chuong); the men's singles gold medal went to Ban Thanh Tuyen (Quynh Luu).
