Young men break rocks to clear landslides

(Baonghean.vn) - The landslide on National Highway 48D, 21m long, was cleared of rocks and mud by nearly 60 young men to clear traffic.

On the morning of March 24, nearly 60 youth union members of Quang Phong commune (Que Phong) with crowbars, hoes, and shovels dug, broke, and transported a large volume of soil and rock caused by landslides caused by floods on National Highway 48D, passing through Na Chom village, Quang Phong commune.

Total volume of earth and rock released is more than 20m3. The youth union members also cleaned the road surface to avoid slipping and ensure safety for traffic participants.

Mr. Lang Van Linh - Secretary of the Quang Phong Commune Youth Union shared: "Seeing that people and vehicles have been having difficulty getting around for a long time, while the landslide site has a large slope. On this occasion, we mobilized troops to clear the road, contributing to ensuring traffic safety."

Previously, Quang Phong Commune Youth Union also built houses for poor households in the area. This is a series of youth projects to celebrate the 87th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2018).
