Hanoi: Fire in 21st floor apartment of Van Khe apartment building

This morning (March 25), at apartment building CT5A (Van Khe urban area, Ha Dong, Hanoi), a fire broke out, causing panic among residents.

Accordingly, at around 10am this morning, a fire broke out in an apartment on the 21st floor of CT5A apartment building, in Van Khe urban area. Many panicked residents carried their children and ran away from the fire.

Mr. Vinh (72 years old), a resident of the 5th floor, said: "At about 10 o'clock, my family and I were shocked when we heard the fire truck siren downstairs. Everyone carried their children and ran down the stairs." According to Mr. Vinh, the fire was extinguished 15 minutes later.

Mr. Vinh was on the 5th floor, hearing the fire truck, he quickly ran downstairs with many other families.

The building where the fire broke out had no outside fire escape, so when the fire broke out, residents could only escape by the stairs inside.

At the scene, the 21st floor apartment was covered in black smoke and the glass doors were broken. There were no casualties.

Confirming with reporters, a leader of Ha Dong district said that a fire broke out at Van Khe urban area."The fire was small and quickly extinguished. Currently, authorities are blocking off the scene and investigating the cause."./.
