Provincial People's Council agency presents savings books to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of March 25, the Provincial People's Council visited, encouraged and presented a savings book to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Le Thi Lan in Hamlet 7, Xuan Tuong Commune, Thanh Chuong District.

Accordingly, the savings book worth 10 million VND is taken from the voluntary contributions and support of the Provincial People's Council delegates, term 2016 - 2021. This is an additional source of support funding, meaningfully encouraging Heroic Mother Le Thi Lan to enjoy her old age, in addition to the monthly support fund of 1 million VND from the savings of officials, experts and employees of the Provincial People's Council to support her mother.
Heroic Mother Le Thi Lan is 95 years old this year. Her husband is martyr Nguyen Ba Lan and her son is martyr Nguyen Phung Hiep. Mother Le Thi Lan was awarded the title of Heroic Mother in 2016 and has been supported by the Provincial People's Council for life since July 2017.

Currently, Le Thi Lan's mother is living with her son and the family's economic conditions are quite good.
