Two death row inmates who escaped from solitary confinement are recommended for prosecution
Taking advantage of the rain and wind, Tinh and Tho "Sut" tore scarves to make ropes to escape from solitary confinement in T16 camp of the Ministry of Public Security.

According to authorities,Tho "Sut" and Tinh are two death row inmates detained in the same cell 3, area D, T16 detention camp of the Ministry of Public Security (Hanoi), both awaiting appeal trial.
On September 6, 2017, Tho “Sut” and Tinh heard the weather forecast that it was going to rain, so they agreed to escape at this time. They prepared some “tools” and tore two scarves to make ropes.
At around 4am on September 11, 2017, Tho “Sut” and Tinh took advantage of a loophole and successfully “escaped” from prison. Arriving at Tinh’s house, the two death row inmates took money and clothes and continued their escape.
They arrived at the house of Nguyen Van Hanh, Tinh's relative, in Ky Son district, Hoa Binh province at 6:00 a.m.With the help of Hanh and Nguyen Van Viet (an acquaintance of Tinh), the two death row inmates waited until dark and rode their motorbikes back to Xuan Mai town (Chuong My district). There, after receiving 7 million VND from Tinh, Tho "Sut" hired a taxi to escape to Hung Yen, Quang Ninh... then returned to Hai Duong.

On September 16, 2017, Tho "Sut" was arrested in Nam Sach district (Hai Duong) while traveling with his ex-girlfriend Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan.
Meanwhile, Tinh continued to ask another acquaintance, Nguyen Van Ba, to find a way to escape to Mai Chau, Hoa Binh. In the early morning of September 17, 2017, Tinh was arrested.
Due to allowing two death row inmates to escape from detention, many officers of T16 detention camp were disciplined, of which three were prosecuted in another case for the crime of lack of responsibility for allowing prisoners to escape./.
