Concrete roads nestled amidst vibrant flowerbeds and lush green trees replacing walls and fences create picturesque scenes in some rural areas of Nghe An province.

The rural areas of Nam Tra (Huong Tra commune, Huong Khe district), Yen My (Cam Yen commune, Cam Xuyen district), Chau Noi (Tung Anh commune, Duc Tho district)... in Ha Tinh province leave visitors in awe.

Clean concrete paths run alongside vibrant flowerbeds; brick and cement gates and fences are replaced by lush green trees.

Tung Anh village (Duc Tho district) is located along the La River from Tam Soa wharf, Linh Cam village (the confluence of the Ngan Sau and Ngan Pho rivers forming the La River) to Duc Tho town.

This land is renowned for its scholarly achievements and prominent figures throughout history, including the top-ranking doctoral laureate Phan Đình Phùng and the late General Secretary Trần Phú... From the Cần Vương movement to the present day, Tùng Ảnh has produced over 1,000 professors and doctors.

In Chau Noi village, the village roads are adorned with endless rows of lush green bamboo, interspersed with carefully trimmed tea plants and ornamental trees.

The rows of trees that form the gate to the house were planted decades ago. After working in the fields, villagers often gather here to chat and enjoy the cool breeze.

Many forms of economic development have helped transform the rural area of Tung Anh, but it still retains the unique cultural characteristics of a Vietnamese village.

In Yen My village (Cam Yen commune, Cam Xuyen district), after more than two years of implementing the model residential area project, the awareness of the people has been transformed. The roads in the village have been upgraded and widened, and houses have been renovated to be spacious, clean, and beautiful.

The village roads and alleys in Yen My hamlet are all covered in green trees, creating a clean and beautiful landscape. The most striking feature is the vibrant carpet of portulaca flowers.

The hedges are carefully maintained by the locals.

In 2011, Nam Tra village (Huong Tra commune, Huong Khe district) was selected by the Provincial People's Committee to build a model rural residential area. Mr. Phan The Hoa, Chairman of the Huong Tra Commune People's Committee, said that the roads in the village have been upgraded and expanded. The funding mainly came from local sources and contributions of labor from the people.

The village of Nam Tra has successfully encouraged residents to plant over 5,000 meters of green hedges.

Mr. Tran Ngu (78 years old, a veteran from Nam Tra village) said: "My garden was built under the new rural development program four years ago. It contains many types of fruit trees with high economic value."
