Concrete roads in the middle of colorful flower paths, rows of green trees replacing walls, fences... are picturesque scenes in some rural areas of Nghe An.

The countrysides of Nam Tra (Huong Tra commune, Huong Khe), Yen My (Cam Yen commune, Cam Xuyen), Chau Noi (Tung Anh commune, Duc Tho)... in Ha Tinh leave visitors in awe.

Clean concrete roads lie between colorful flower paths; house gates and fences instead of bricks and cement are lined with rows of green trees.

Tung Anh village (Duc Tho district) lies along La river from Tam Soa wharf, Linh Cam village (the intersection of Ngan Sau and Ngan Pho rivers to form La river) to Duc Tho town.

This is a land famous for its mandarinate and famous people for many generations, with the late Dinh Nguyen Doctor Phan Dinh Phung, the late General Secretary Tran Phu... From the Can Vuong period until now, Tung Anh has had more than 1,000 professors and doctors.

In Chau Noi village, the village roads are decorated with endless green bamboo groves, interspersed with carefully trimmed tea trees and gioi trees.

The rows of trees that form the gate were planted decades ago. Villagers often gather here after working in the fields to chat and enjoy the cool breeze.

Many forms of economic development have helped Tung Anh countryside "change its skin", but this place still retains the unique cultural features of Vietnamese villages.

Yen My village (Cam Yen, Cam Xuyen), after more than 2 years of implementing the construction of a model residential area, has changed the awareness of the people. The roads in the village have been upgraded and expanded, the houses have been renovated to be spacious and clean.

Village roads and alleys in Yen My village are covered with green trees, the landscape is green and clean. The highlight is the brilliant carpet of ten o'clock flowers.

The hedges are carefully tended by the people.

In 2011, Nam Tra village (Huong Tra, Huong Khe) was selected by the Provincial People's Committee to build a model rural residential area. Mr. Phan The Hoa, Chairman of the People's Committee of Huong Tra commune, said that the roads in the village have been upgraded and expanded. The funding is mainly mobilized from local capital and people's contributions of working days.

Nam Tra village has mobilized people to plant over 5,000m of green hedges.

Mr. Tran Ngu (78 years old, veteran of Nam Tra village) said: “My garden has been built under the new rural program for 4 years. In the garden, there are many types of fruit trees with high economic value.”
