Cua Lo surpasses Vinh city in the ranking of excellent students of Nghe An province
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Department of Education and Training has just announced the results of the Provincial Excellent Student Competition for the 2017-2018 school year for grades 9 and 11 with many surprising results. The ranking is based on the admission rate, total score and average score.
Accordingly, in grade 9, in table A (for education departments in urban and delta areas), Cua Lo Town ranked first with the rate of excellent students being 86.11% (31/36 students) with 5 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 14 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes.
Following Cua Lo is Vinh City with a rate of 74.04% (77/104 students) and Quynh Luu is ranked 3rd with a rate of 74.44% (67/90 students). Next in the top 10 are the units of Anh Son, Tan Ky, Thanh Chuong, Dien Chau, Do Luong, Nam Dan, Yen Thanh, Hung Nguyen, Thai Hoa Town, Nghi Loc, Hoang Mai Town, Nghia Dan and Quy Hop.

In group B (difficult and mountainous areas), Quy Chau district is at the top. Next are Con Cuong, Que Phong, Tuong Duong and Ky Son units.
In grade 11, group A, Do Luong 1 High School is the leading unit in the province with 27/28 students participating in the competition winning prizes (96.43%). Including 3 first prizes, 12 second prizes, 11 third prizes and 1 encouragement prize. In the top 10, after Do Luong 1 High School are Cua Lo High School, Huynh Thuc Khang High School, Dien Chau 4 High School, Nguyen Sy Sach High School, Phan Dang Luu High School, Hoang Mai High School, Vinh University High School - Specialized High School, Quynh Luu 1 High School and Nghi Loc 2 High School...
The ranking does not rank Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted because it is a specialized school.

Regarding individuals, according to the synthesis of the Department of Education and Training:
+ In grade 9, the valedictorian of Literature is Pham Thi Mai Anh - Quynh Thien Secondary School - Hoang Mai Town with a score of 16.88/20 points.
The valedictorian of Mathematics is Hoang Thi Le Tra - Nghi Lam Secondary School - Nghi Loc District with 18.1/20 points. As for Foreign Language (English), there are "co-valedictorians": Chu Khanh Trang and Hoang Nguyen Thanh Thao with 18.1/20 points. Both are students of Dang Thai Mai Secondary School - Vinh City.
+ In grade 11, the valedictorians of the three subjects Literature, Math, and Foreign Language (English) all belonged to students of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. In which, the Literature subject was Pham Anh Phuong, Pham Quynh Nhi - 17.5/20 points, the Math subject was Dang Tran Bach - 16.5/20 points and the Foreign Language subject was Vo Thi My Hanh with 18.4/20 points.
