Table to reopen Vinh - Bangkok international flight route
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 3, the Department of Tourism had a meeting with VietJet Air about opening an international flight route Vinh - Bangkok (Thailand).
The opening of the Vinh - Bangkok (Thailand) international flight route aims to promote the potential of international tourism exploitation, while creating conditions to attract investment and develop the socio-economy of the North Central region in general and Nghe An province in particular.

In August 2016, the Vinh - Bangkok international flight was launched as a charter flight with a frequency of 1 flight/month. However, due to the ineffectiveness as expected, the flight was discontinued. The reopening of the Vinh - Bangkok flight will have prospects for tourism development, investment attraction and trade development.
At the meeting, representatives of the two sides had discussions to discuss specific contents related to the reopening of the Vinh - Bangkok international flight route such as: flight time, number of flights/week, ticket prices, aircraft types...
It is expected that if the two sides agree on the conditions, this route can be put into operation in June or July with a frequency of 3 flights/week.
