Honda Vietnam increases CR-V car price
As the only car company that has completed the new procedures for importing completely built-up cars from Thailand, Honda has officially announced the new selling prices of imported cars; accordingly, all 4 models have increased in price compared to the previous announcement.
Honda's first batch of imported cars cleared through customs in 2018 included 1,054 units, including 577 CR-Vs, 320 Civics, 112 Jazzs and 45 Accords.
After recalculating the factors affecting car imports according to the new regulations of Decree 116, Honda Vietnam announced the suggested retail price applied to imported cars from Thailand from April 2, 2018, with an increase of 5 million VND for all 4 imported car models from Thailand: CR-V, Civic, Jazz and Accord.
Meanwhile, the domestically assembled City model (with both versions; standard and TOP) and the MOP model imported from Japan (version available since 2017) still maintain the same selling price.
Specific selling prices of imported Honda models this April are as follows:
Honda is the only car brand in Vietnam at the moment that has cleared customs for imported cars from Thailand with a 0% import tax because it has met localization standards. Other car brands that have imported cars at seaports are currently unable to clear customs because they have not fully met the new standards for vehicle inspection in Decree 116 and Circular 03/2018/TT-BGTVT.
