Sir, what is the significance of organizing a dialogue between the Prime Minister and farmers?

- The dialogue between the Prime Minister and farmers took place in the context of Vietnam summarizing the achievements of 30 years of national renovation. In those 30 years of renovation, agriculture, farmers, and rural areas emerged as one of the main colors creating a picture of the country's great achievements.

Vietnam’s impressive achievements in agricultural development and rural development have had a great impact on poverty reduction achievements in the past 30 years of renovation. This has been highly appreciated by the United Nations and international organizations. The United Nations has positively evaluated Vietnam’s renovation and considered it a model for poverty reduction in underdeveloped and developing countries.

Through organizing conferences, seminars and talks, the Party and State have clarified achievements, presented lessons learned, but also pointed out opportunities and challenges for national development in the period after 30 years of renovation, in which the important areas are agriculture, farmers and rural areas.

The Party's strategy is to industrialize and modernize the country, but the Party also determined that to successfully industrialize and modernize the country, we must first industrialize and modernize agriculture, farmers, and rural areas. If the country is firmly integrated, the agricultural sector must be firmly integrated.

Exchanging opportunities, identifying challenges, sharing solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in agricultural development and rural development to further motivate the agricultural sector, farmers and rural areas to develop sustainably in integration is the content and meaning of the dialogue. Therefore, the dialogue between the Prime Minister and farmers has the theme "Removing obstacles, unleashing motivation, continuing the momentum of 30 years of innovation".

Many farmers directly engage in agricultural production and live in rural areas, but there are policy issues that they themselves do not fully understand. Does this affect the quality oflifedialogue no sir

- Farmers who directly produce agriculture and live in rural areas are the ones who benefit and evaluate the effectiveness of the policy. This opinion received high consensus.

However, besides that, there are indeed policies that many farmers do not fully understand, or understand but cannot arrange them in a logical way to make them a topic for discussion and exchange.

But this has been foreseen by the Organizing Committee and there are complementary solutions. The participants of the dialogue are not only the excellent Vietnamese farmers selected and evaluated through the “Pride of Vietnamese Farmers” Program from 2013 to present, but also many scientists, agricultural and rural policy researchers, and representatives of Farmers’ Associations at all levels.

And an indispensable force is the leading businesses and entrepreneurs in this field.

Together with good farmers, excellent farmers, Farmers' Association officials, scientists, researchers and agricultural entrepreneurs will ensure the dialogue conference achieves the expected quality...
