According to sources of The Times, experts have identified the source of the poison "with the help of scientific analysis and intelligence." The publication emphasizes that, before the incident in Salisbury, the authorities knew about the existence of this facility, where the toxic substance known in the UK as "Novichok" was produced.
“In general, at the time of the first meeting of the Cobra committee (which included members of the government, emergency agencies and special services), we knew that the substance was of Russian origin,” a government source told the newspaper.
The Times' interlocutors stressed that "they are not 100% sure, but one source insisted that it was possible to talk about the location with a high degree of certainty".
