Two suspects arrested for beating drunk old man to death
When hearing Mr. Hai's challenge, Dat and Tiem rushed in and beat him, injuring him and causing his death.
On April 7, Long Thanh District Police (Dong Nai) announced that they had just urgently arrested two suspects Nguyen Thanh Dat (21 years old) and Ta Danh Tiem (22 years old, both residing in Bau Can Commune, Long Thanh District) to investigate the act of "Intentionally causing injury leading to death".

According to initial investigation, on the evening of April 5, Dat and Tiem rode a motorbike from Bau Can commune to Tan Hiep commune (Long Thanh district). When passing through the rubber plantation section of Thai Hiep Thanh Rubber Plantation (Bau Can commune), they met Mr. Pham Van Hai (55 years old, residing in Hamlet 2, Bau Can commune) who was walking in a drunken state.
When passing by, hearing Mr. Hai say: "I'm drunk, I'll take on all of you", Dat and Tiem stopped the car and rushed to beat Mr. Hai.
Injured and bleeding, Mr. Hai ran away and stopped to rest at the warehouse of Thai Hiep Thanh Rubber Plantation. At around 1:00 a.m. on April 6, Mr. Hai called his relatives to inform them of the news, but no one answered.
Due to bleeding from the wound and exhaustion, Mr. Hai died in the early morning of April 6 and was discovered by local people.
The case is currently under investigation by the police.
