In the first quarter of 2018, the work of the Fatherland Front closely followed the political tasks of the province and the living conditions of the people. The Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations actively propagated and mobilized the people to implement the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies. They performed well the work of participating in building, supervising and providing social criticism, participating in Party building and government building; people's foreign affairs; perfecting mechanisms and improving the operational capacity of the Front system...

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee successfully coordinated the organization of the program "Tet for the poor - Mau Tuat 2018", through the program, 304 units and individuals registered to support the program with an amount of 64,071,482,716 million VND, distributing Tet gifts to 63,496 poor households (reaching 97%), 33,883 near-poor households, and policy families (reaching 40%).

At the meeting, after listening to the report on the situation and results of ethnic and religious work in the first quarter of 2018, the delegates pointed out the difficulties and problems that still exist in each locality. Thereby, they proposed solutions to improve work efficiency and practically serve the people.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Sy Tai - Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Chau district said: "Since the beginning of the year, Dien Chau has had 12 very complicated incidents in the area... Through the above incidents, it is recommended that all levels focus on directing and drawing lessons from experience, thereby having effective handling measures."

Regarding the issue of implementing a survey to build a model of a joint advisory agency to assist the Fatherland Front and district-level organizations, a delegate from Yen Thanh district said: Currently, the district is developing a program and plan to build a model of merging organizations into the Fatherland Front and unifying the positions of Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee and Chairman of the Fatherland Front to implement the 6th Central Resolution (Term XII).

In addition, the Do Luong district delegate expressed concerns about the effectiveness of this new model. The delegate also suggested that there should be clear policies and mechanisms that are suitable to the local situation.

Regarding the survey of the implementation of the project to replicate the self-management model in the community of villages and residential groups, the representative of Cua Lo Town said that the Front needs to advise the higher-level leaders to establish effective models. At the same time, carefully survey ineffective models to eliminate them.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Van Huy - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged the effectiveness of the Front's work in the first quarter of 2018, and a number of solutions to implement key tasks in the second quarter of 2018. The Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requested the Fatherland Front system at all levels to focus on implementing the program and plan for criticism; should choose key focuses close to reality and regularly improve the quality of supervision and criticism.

At the same time, continue to organize dialogues between local authorities and people to grasp their aspirations and promptly resolve difficulties. Actively propagate and mobilize people to carry out people-to-people diplomacy; grasp the ethnic and religious situation in the area, especially in areas with potential complications.
