Provincial Party Secretary visits and encourages officers injured while on duty searching for martyrs' remains
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 9, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation visited and encouraged Lieutenant Nguyen Khac Au, who was injured while on duty searching for martyrs' remains.
Also attending were Senior Lieutenant Colonel Thai Duc Hanh - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; representatives of departments, branches, and the Provincial Party Committee Office.

Lieutenant Nguyen Khac Au, a member of the Gathering Team, Provincial Military Command, from Do Luong district, was injured while on duty with the Gathering Team in Laos.
At about 11:30 a.m. on April 5, 2018, while conducting a survey and searching for 6 martyrs' graves in Poong Noc area, Na Pan village, Ket Nam Xien 2, Pha Xay district, Xieng Khouang province, Lao PDR, professional Lieutenant Nguyen Khac Au was continuously caught in 2 mines. The pressure of the mines caused Lieutenant Nguyen Khac Au to have difficulty breathing, injured his right hand, and perforated his right eardrum.
After receiving first aid from his teammates and being taken to a medical facility in a neighboring country, Lieutenant Au's health gradually recovered and it was determined that his injuries were not life-threatening.
Currently, he is being treated by doctors at Hospital Qk4 and his health is gradually recovering.
In the first 5 months of the 2017-2018 dry season, the Collection Team of the Nghe An Military Command deployed 5 search teams in the provinces of Xieng Khouang, Vientiane and Xay Xam Bun of Laos. Up to now, the team has recovered 78/80 martyrs' remains with many relics, reaching 98% of the determined plan. Currently, the officers of the Collection Team are continuing to search and recover martyrs' remains in Laos to bring them back to their homeland.
