To practically help the poor, Nghe An organized the program "Tet for the poor - Mau Tuat 2018". Accordingly, the Provincial Party Secretary sent a letter calling on organizations, individuals, and businesses to support Tet for the poor, the Provincial People's Committee has a plan to implement.
The Organizing Committee of the Tet For the Poor program of the province was established and actively mobilized agencies, units, collectives, individuals, businesses, and entrepreneurs inside and outside the province to support the poor.
In general, the Tet for the Poor Program 2018 has been actively responded by the entire political system and businesses. As a result, the Program Organizing Committee has mobilized 303 groups and individuals to support with the amount of money and goods of nearly 64.8 billion VND (the highest in 6 years of implementing the program).
All funds and goods donated by agencies, units, businesses and philanthropists were promptly and thoughtfully received by the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. For units that directly donated gifts, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee coordinated with localities to guide the receiving and giving of gifts to the right recipients and in an objective manner.

The total amount of money and gifts of over 63.6 billion VND has been distributed to 100,809 households, including 63,800 poor households (reaching 98%) and 37,009 near-poor households, policy families, and social protection beneficiaries (reaching 43%)... The amount of money remaining in the fund as of March 30, 2018 was nearly 1.2 billion VND (the reason for the remaining fund is that units and businesses transferred donations slowly and could not distribute them in time for Tet).
In addition to the achievements, the Tet For The Poor 2018 program still has difficulties and limitations such as the coordination to distribute Tet gifts and coordinate businesses and benefactors to directly give gifts to localities, which sometimes lacks unity, is unreasonable or confusing, so there are still 1,635 poor households and 48,546 near-poor households that have not received Tet gifts. Some localities have many businesses giving gifts, and some poor households have received gifts many times during Tet.
At the conference, delegates focused on analyzing and drawing lessons from the Tet For The Poor Program 2018 to make the Tet For The Poor Program 2019 more effective.
