(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, Nghe An has 645 registered cooperatives, attracting over 53,000 regular workers with a total charter capital of over 204 billion VND.
On the morning of April 11, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance celebrated the 72nd anniversary of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (April 11, 1946 - April 11, 2018). Attending the ceremony was comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Despite many difficulties, with the attention and direction of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee, cooperatives in Nghe An have constantly strived to find solutions to gradually improve, promptly transform to adapt to the new mechanism, and operate effectively; the autonomous role of cooperatives has been promoted.

More and more new cooperatives are being established in various economic sectors and fields with diverse forms of organization and operation methods. By the end of 2017, the province had 645 registered cooperatives operating in various fields, attracting over 53,000 regular workers with a total charter capital of over 204 billion VND.

Many cooperatives have boldly mobilized investment capital to expand production and apply new scientific and technological advances to production. The number of cooperatives operating effectively accounts for 46.3%.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance awarded the Emulation Flag to Son Lam Agricultural Service Cooperative, Quynh Luu District, which is the leading unit in the emulation movement in 2017; the Ministry of Planning and Investment awarded a Certificate of Merit to the People's Committee of Quynh Luu District for its outstanding achievements in implementing the Law on Cooperatives in 2012; the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance awarded the title of Emulation Fighter to 1 individual with outstanding achievements in 2017.
At the ceremony, delegates witnessed the launching ceremony of the Nghe An General Cooperative Union headquartered in Vinh City.
