The conference evaluated the results achieved in Youth Month 2018, affirming that the themes and key contents selected by the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee were focused on and directed in accordance with practical implementation at the grassroots level.

The quality and effectiveness of activities are constantly improved and leave behind many specific works and tasks, actively contributing to the construction of new rural areas and urban civilization. There are many new and creative activities, creating impressions and spreading in society, attracting the attention of Party committees, authorities, localities, units and enhancing the position of the Youth Union.

The Youth Union at all levels has proactively and effectively advised on specific program contents for Youth Month. The propaganda and education work has had many innovations in content, rich and attractive in form. The consultation, selection of direction and organization of implementation are associated with the theme of the month, of 2018 and the selection of issues that are of public interest.

Specifically, during Youth Month 2018, the province's youth union members built 16 new urban civilized roads, built and repaired 29 charity houses with a total value of 870 million VND; built and repaired nearly 40 playgrounds for children with a total value of 796 million VND; planted 122,500 new trees; examined and gave free medicine to nearly 5,000 people; carried out more than 850 youth projects at all levels, worth nearly 6.5 billion VND...

The whole province has had more than 860,000 young union members thoroughly grasped and propagated the Resolution of the Youth Union Congresses at all levels, term 2017 - 2022; nearly 450 young union members have accessed science and technology transfer; supported loans of 800 million VND for 25 young union members; career counseling for more than 11,000 young union members...

At the Conference, delegates focused on discussing and giving enthusiastic comments on the advantages and limitations in the organization and activities of Youth Month 2018, including many comments on propaganda work, reflecting the activities of Youth Month and the information reporting regime of some district, city, town Youth Unions and affiliated Youth Unions.

Delegates also contributed comments on the draft set of criteria for evaluating the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement at the district level in 2018 with 7 criteria and 31 contents; in which it was suggested to pay more attention to: The propaganda and education work of the Youth Union; The work of building the Youth Union organization, expanding the front of solidarity and gathering youth; The Youth Union participating in Party building.

Comrade Pham Tuan Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union chaired the conference on behalf of the province to evaluate and acknowledge the efforts and creativity of the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province, which contributed to the successful implementation of the key tasks of Youth Month, and received comments and contributions at the conference.

He suggested that all levels of the Youth Union continue to adhere to the annual work program, the targets of the new term, and the political tasks of the Party Committee and government at the same level, and on that basis continue to advise and carry out practical and effective activities.

In order to commend the results achieved in Youth Month, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee decided to award certificates of merit to 21 collectives with outstanding achievements in organizing Youth Month activities 2018; award certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the Warm Winter 2017 - Volunteer Spring 2018 Program; award certificates of merit from the Central Youth Union to 2 collectives and 5 individuals, from the Provincial Youth Union to 15 collectives and 4 individuals, from the Provincial Youth Union to 20 collectives and 10 individuals.

To ensure leadership and direction for the work of the Young Pioneers and the children's movement in the coming time, the Conference also elected 22 members and key positions of the Young Pioneers Council of Nghe An province, term 2017-2022.

The Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee unanimously elected comrade Le Van Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union to hold the position of Chairman of the Council of the Young Pioneers of Nghe An province for the 2017-2022 term; comrade Thai Huy Vinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, comrade Bui Thi Quynh Bien - Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the School Youth Committee of the Provincial Youth Union to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Council of the Young Pioneers of the province for the 2017-2022 term./.
