Female singer refused to stand and sing because she was pregnant, was shot dead by the audience right on stage

A female singer and her unborn child died after refusing a male audience member's request to stand up and sing.

Samina Samoon, 24, was shot by Tarique Ahmed Jatoi while singing on stage during a performance during a festival held in Kanga village, Larkana city, on April 10.

In a video filmed by a viewer, Jatoi can be seen on stage harassing Samina, forcing her to stand up and sing at his request. The video shows the young singer finally standing up to perform when two other men approach her and throw money at her, according toMirror.

However, just seconds later, the singer was suddenly shot. She was taken to Chandka Hospital but doctors were unable to save her due to the severity of her injuries.

According to Samina's husband Ashiq Ali, the singer is 6 months pregnant with their first child.

"Samina refused to stand up and sing and dance because she was pregnant. However, this refusal angered the man and he pulled out a gun and shot her dead,"Ary Newsquoted Ali as saying.

Ali is now demanding that Jatoi, who has been arrested by police, face double murder charges over the wrongful death of his wife and her unborn child.
