3 young men slashed and injured a police officer after being tested for alcohol concentration
When traffic police stopped their car to check alcohol concentration, 3 young men refused to comply and even entered a house to take out a knife and attack the working group, injuring 2 police officers.
On April 15, Thong Nhat District Police (Dong Nai) said they were detaining three young men, including Nguyen Trong Duc (26 years old, residing in Trang Bom District), Nguyen Trung Luc (25 years old) and Nguyen Trung Tri (19 years old, both residing in Thong Nhat District) to investigate the act of resisting law enforcement officers.

According to the investigation, on the evening of April 14, the traffic police working group of Thong Nhat District Police led by Mr. Tran Long (team leader) and 3 members Tran Trieu Pha, Nguyen Huy Cuong and Pham Anh Tuan, combined with the traffic safety team, patrolled and controlled provincial road 769, through Xuan Thanh commune and Bau Ham 2 commune (Thong That district).
At around 9:20 p.m., on the inter-commune road in Lap Thanh hamlet (Xuan Thanh commune), the working group discovered Duc and Tri driving a motorbike carrying Luc, showing signs of intoxication, so they signaled to stop the vehicle to check the alcohol concentration.
However, the subjects did not present their documents and pushed and cursed the traffic police on duty. Afterwards, Luc ran into a nearby house, took out two Thai knives, gave Duc one, and then both rushed in to attack the police.
Suddenly attacked, Mr. Long raised his hand to block but was slashed and nearly had a finger severed. Separately, Tri used his helmet to attack and injure Mr. Pha.
After committing the crime, all three abandoned the car and ran into a house to hide.
Upon receiving the report, Thong Nhat District Police coordinated with Xuan Thanh Commune Police and Bau Ham 2 Commune Police to chase and arrest three suspects at a house in Tran Cao Van Hamlet, Bau Ham 2 Commune.
Mr. Long and Mr. Pha were taken to Thong Nhat District Medical Center for emergency treatment.
Mr. Pha suffered injuries to his face and eyelids that required many stitches, while Mr. Long had a nearly severed finger and was transferred to Long Khanh Regional General Hospital to have the tendons reattached./.
