Weather April 16: Northern and Central regions continue to have cold rain before the hot weather begins

Currently, cold air is flowing in when the temperature in the Northwest and the Central mountainous areas is above 30 degrees Celsius, causing strong conflicts, causing thunderstorms and hail in many places such as Moc Chau (Son La); Pac Nam, Ba Be, Cho Don (Bac Kan); Huong Hoa (Quang Tri), causing damage to crops.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that tonight and tomorrow, cold air masses will continue to accumulate, the lowest temperature in the Northern mountainous region will drop to 17-18 degrees.
Tomorrow and until April 19 (Thursday this week), the North will continue to have light rain at night and in the morning, with intermittent sunshine in the afternoon and evening, and the highest temperature of the day will be below 30.
From April 19 onwards, the cold air mass will weaken, the low pressure area in the West will develop and expand to the East, so the North and the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai will experience heat waves. Temperatures in the North will generally be 34-37 degrees Celsius, in the Northwest, some places will be over 38 degrees Celsius. The Central region will experience intense heat with 36-38 degrees Celsius.
Due to the influence of cold air, the North and the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue will have scattered showers and thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow morning. During the thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind. Northeast wind inland level 2, coastal areas level 3. The Northern and North Central provinces will have cold weather at night and in the morning.
