On April 13, 2018, on the personal Facebook page of Quynh Juli, a short clip appeared showing a young teacher personally cutting a male student's hair right in the corner of the school yard.

Although she is a teacher, she shows her professional hair cutting skills using scissors and combs as her main tools. During the hair cutting process, she also kindly asks and encourages her students, reminding them about personal hygiene.

The main character and owner of Quynh Juli's personal page is teacher Nguyen Thi Quynh, a teacher at Tam Quang Primary School (Tuong Duong district). According to Ms. Quynh, this is one of many after-school activities of teachers in the school to encourage and help students in difficult circumstances, creating a friendly relationship between teachers and students so that they can confidently go to class.

The student whose hair was cut by teacher Quynh is Tran Duc Phi, a 3B student at Tam Quang 1 Primary School, Tam Bong village. Phi is a student with especially difficult circumstances, his parents are divorced. Phi's mother went to work abroad, and his father also left and never returned. Phi is currently living with his elderly grandmother.

Not only receiving the sympathy of netizens, the young teacher's beautiful actions also received many positive responses from parents.

Ms. Lu Thi Sen, a resident of Tam Bong village (Tam Quang commune), whose child is studying at the school cluster where Ms. Quynh is in charge, said: “The teachers here are very good. Our children go to school to learn to read and write, and are also taken care of by the teachers like their parents at home. Sometimes we cannot even take care of our children as well as the teachers do.”

Mr. Bui Danh Vinh - Principal of Tam Quang 1 Primary School said that in addition to cutting hair for the children, the teachers also used their salaries to buy books, clothes, and school supplies for the students in the disadvantaged villages. At the beginning of the year, teachers often had to go to each house to encourage the students to go to school.

“These are meaningful activities that have a strong impact on the thinking of students and parents in this difficult border area. Thanks to that, the school has been able to minimize the number of students dropping out of school,” said Mr. Bui Danh Vinh.
