Russian air defense missiles 'sold out' after recent achievements in Syria
Russian air defense systems have performed admirably after successfully repelling the cruise missile attack by the US and its allies on Syria, bringing them great export potential.

In the cruise missile attack on Syria's suspected chemical weapons production and storage sites, the US and its allies launched a total of 105 missiles of various types. |

The results of the attack are still controversial, as the US claimed 100% of the missiles hit their targets and flattened three Syrian military bases. |

However, on the other side, Russia also responded equally, claiming that in fact 71 missiles were shot down by Syrian air defense, mainly by weapons systems from the Soviet era. |

Although there is still much controversy, it is difficult to deny the effectiveness that Russian air defense missile systems have demonstrated in Syria over the past years, and it is predicted that Moscow will reap many valuable contracts in the near future. |

The first will certainly be the contract to upgrade old air defense systems, because according to assessments, the features of these systems do not allow for intercepting low-flying targets like Tomahawk missiles. |

For example, the S-125 Pechora complexes have been upgraded to the Pechora 2M standard, placing all components on off-road trucks for superior mobility, and many semiconductor components have also been replaced with digital technology. |

Similar is the case with the 2K12 Kvadrat, this 1970s-era air defense missile system also required upgraded tracking, anti-electronic jamming and guidance capabilities to be able to confront the Tomahawk. |

Besides upgrading old complexes, buying new Russian weapons is certainly something to consider because no matter how modernized old equipment is, there is still an insurmountable gap when placed next to new weapons. |

The excellent performance of the Buk-M2E medium-range air defense missile system in both high-flying and low-flying missile defense functions has made it the subject of much attention. |

The brightest "star" is of course still the Pantsir-S1, as they are considered to have held the leading position in the recent anti-aircraft attack campaign, even when not mentioned for some reason. |

Accompanying the Pantsir-S is a low-altitude air defense missile system with similar functions, the Tor-M1/2, as it is considered a more effective weapon against high-intensity cruise missile attacks. |

Finally, the S-400 Triumf long-range air defense missile system, although it has not made any announcement, its radar system can still signal other systems to coordinate with it. |

When the S-400 speaks up, the defense side will have a worthy answer with long-range bombers carrying attack missiles beyond the range of enemy air defenses. |

The recent US bombing raids were considered to have benefited the US, Russia, UK and France, all of whom declared victory. |
