US softens relations with Russia?
(Baonghean.vn) - According to RIA Novosti, the Russian Embassy in Washington has received notice from the Trump administration that new sanctions against Moscow will not be imposed in the near future.
Previously, as reported, the White House press representative at the UN, Ms. Nikki Heily, said that Washington will apply new restrictive measures against Moscow related to the context and situation happening in Syria.

According to her, the sanctions will target companies that help Damascus produce chemical weapons. Both Russia and Syria firmly deny information that there was a chemical weapons attack (by the Syrian Army) in Eastern Ghouta.
Most recently, in early April, Washington expanded the sanctions list. Accordingly, 15 companies and 24 Russian individuals and businessmen are subject to US sanctions.

With this move, it seems that in the face of fierce opposition from Russia and public opinion in some European countries when doubting the evidence accusing Syria of using chemical weapons to attack civilians in Eastern Ghouta and Russia's involvement in the poisoning of the Skripal double agent father and son in Salisbury (UK)... the Donald Trump administration had to be more cautious.
This is a caution, not a change in the US and Western views and attitudes towards Russia. What will happen next is still unpredictable...
