(Baonghean.vn) - From tomorrow evening, the Northern and North Central regions will experience moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places, then the thunderstorm area will expand to the Central and South Central regions.
Under the influence of the low pressure area in the West, yesterday, heat waves of 35-37 degrees Celsius occurred in the provinces of Son La, Hoa Binh, Tuong Duong (Nghe An) and Nam Dong (Thua Thien Hue).
Today, the low-lying area in the West continues to expand, pushing the temperature in the North up by 1-2 degrees. Dien Bien, Son La, Hoa Binh provinces and some places in Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Tuyen Giang and mountainous areas from Thanh Hoa - Phu Yen will be hot with temperatures of 35-37 degrees, some places over 38 degrees. Particularly in the Northwestern provinces, there may be showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.
Then from tomorrow, the North will receive a weak air mass, pushing the thunderstorm trough down, causing heavy rain and thunderstorms. From tomorrow evening, the North and North Central regions will experience moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places, then the thunderstorm area will expand to the Central and South Central regions. During the thunderstorm, there is a high possibility of tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind, especially in mountainous provinces.
