Vietnamese model wears 40kg gold-plated costume to compete in Mister 2018

Supermodel Tran Minh Trung officially released images of himself in national costumes inspired by the legend “Descendants of the Dragon and the Fairy” to compete in the Mister International 2018 contest.

Tran Minh Trung shared that he felt very proud to receive a special design that he believes will make a strong impression on the arena of Mister International 2018.

The costume, weighing more than 40kg, was made by Le Thanh Hoa in more than 2 months with gold as the main tone. The design includes armor, loincloth, arm guards, leg guards, a helmet and wings at the back to add authority and majesty when wearing the costume.

Designer Le Thanh Hoa said the idea of creating a costume based on the legend of the Dragon father and Fairy mother is not new in the design of national costumes, because many people have done it, but this is also an idea that always creates endless inspiration for designers. Therefore, Le Thanh Hoa believes that with his passion for design, the meticulous research of the patterns to create a harmonious whole, showing off the beauty of the man's body in a very majestic way, will contribute to helping Tran Minh Trung impress the competition and shine.

Designer Le Thanh Hoa shared that he thought of the legend of Lac Long Quan and model Au Co when he started sketching the first lines for Tran Minh Trung's national costume. He said that this legend not only talks about the powerful origin of the Vietnamese people, but also implies the solidarity and closeness of the Vietnamese people like brothers and sisters, so he wanted to borrow the image of the legend to inspire the creation of the costume.

Currently, Tran Minh Trung is in Yangon, Myanmar to participate in the contest activities.

The final night of Mister International 2018 will take place on April 30, 2018 in Yangon, Myanmar.
