Relatives accused the beauty salon of not having emergency resuscitation equipment, and that a cardiologist was only called when the patient was in critical condition.

Ekaterina Kiseleva, 32, was pronounced dead of heart failure during a breast augmentation surgery at the Triumph Palace beauty salon in Moscow, medical sources revealed on April 25.

Dr Grigory Perekrestov, 31, who performed the surgery, has yet to comment on the death of the mother of two. According toMetroPerekrestov was famous for taking selfies with female patients, exposing their breasts but hiding their faces.

Ekaterina's mother, Evgenia, said the family was left in extreme pain and despair after her daughter's death.

"All our complaints were deleted, calls were ignored. My daughter, a beautiful, healthy, intelligent woman, trusted these monsters to fix her body defect. They not only took her money, but also her life," said Evgenia.

According to her, anesthesiologist Zeinal Nedzhafov, 24, disregarded the regulations by leaving the operating room before Ekaterina regained consciousness.

Ekaterina, a water industry employee, is said to have defied her family's objections to undergo a breast augmentation surgery costing more than $2,500, after being assured by the cosmetic facility that everything would go smoothly and safely.

"My daughter was completely healthy. There was no resuscitation equipment in this beauty salon. Later, I learned that when my daughter showed signs of heart failure, the manager called a cardiologist. She brought her daughter from home and tried to resuscitate Ekaterina but failed. Only then did they call an ambulance," Evgenia added, revealing that when she received the call, her daughter had been dead for two hours.

The Investigative Committee in Russia said it had opened an investigation to find out more about the incident.
