Taking advantage of their close relationship, Duc took the Hyundai car key from his brother-in-law and found a seller in Hai Phong.

On April 28, Ha Long City Police (Quang Ninh) announced that they had just arrested Vu Manh Duc (33 years old, residing in Hoanh Bo district, Quang Ninh) to investigate the act of car theft.

Three mornings ago, Mr. Pham Quang Phuc (32 years old, resident of Bai Chay ward) went to get his Hyundai car parked about 200 meters from his house and discovered that the car was missing.

Through verification, the police clarified that Vu Manh Duc is Phuc's brother-in-law and stole the car key. Duc contacted Nguyen The Anh (24 years old, from Thanh Hoa) via social media, who specializes in buying and selling stolen cars and cars without papers, to agree on a price of 70 million VND.

On the morning of April 25, Duc stole a car and drove to Hai Phong to make a deal with The Anh. However, Duc and The Anh found a buyer for the car for 130-150 million VND. Because the deal failed, the duo left the car at a gas station in An Lao district, Hai Phong city.

On the evening of April 26, The Anh found a new contact and called Duc to come over to sell. While negotiating with the partner, The Anh was arrested by the An Lao District Police (Hai Phong City). The person and the evidence were handed over to the Ha Long City Police.

In the early morning of April 27, Duc was arrested by police while hiding in Hoanh Bo district, Quang Ninh.

At the investigation agency, Duc confessed that due to lack of money to pay debt, he stole a car to sell.
