Under the same decree, the President made new appointments to a number of federal state agencies. There was no announcement of the reasons for the personnel changes.
This is not the first wave of high-ranking federal agency employees being fired. Last month, the Russian leader dismissed eleven generals from the Interior Ministry, the Emergencies Ministry, the Federal Service for Enforcement of Penalties, and the Investigative Committee.
