Building houses of gratitude for poor veterans in Quynh Luu
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 5, Quynh Luu district held a groundbreaking ceremony to build a gratitude house for veteran Tran Van Hai in hamlet 5, Quynh Ngoc commune.

The family of veteran Tran Van Hai is a poor household in Quynh Ngoc commune, in difficult circumstances, the children live far away, the elderly couple depend on each other to live, the house is degraded but there is no ability to repair it.
Implementing the direction of the District Party Committee Standing Committee on building gratitude houses for poor households from the support fund of the sister district Binh Son (Quang Ngai) and from some other sources, the People's Committee and the Fatherland Front of the district coordinated with Quynh Ngoc commune to support the construction of a level 4 house, including 3 rooms, costing about 102 million VND for the family of veteran Tran Van Hai.
At the ceremony, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district awarded the family 70 million VND in support funds, the People's Committee of Quynh Ngoc commune 10 million VND and more than 20 million VND from contributions of working days and materials from households, self-management groups, and the Veterans Association of Hamlet 5 to help the family complete the house./.
