35 Dan Lai households will be moved to resettlement area in Thach Ngan commune.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 5, a working delegation of the People's Committee of Con Cuong district, representatives of the provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee, and border guards surveyed and grasped the aspirations of the people after implementing the Government's Project 28 on the conservation and sustainable development of the Dan Lai ethnic minority.
The project to conserve and sustainably develop the Dan Lai ethnic minority currently living in the core zone of Pu Mat National Park, Con Cuong district, Nghe An province was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 280/2006/QD-TTg with the goal of improving living conditions and socio-economic development to conserve and sustainably develop the ethnic minorities currently living in the core zone of Pu Mat National Park, conserve the nature of Pu Mat National Park, and protect border security.

Currently, there are more than 200 households living in Bung and Co Phat villages. With synchronous investment in all fields and the participation of all levels and sectors, the Dan Lai people here are gradually escaping hunger, reducing poverty, stabilizing their lives, and integrating into the community. Welfare projects have received investment from the State, and up to now, the two villages have a national grid system.
However, the lives of people here still face many difficulties: Due to the increasing population, limited land fund, and difficult road system. People hope that the State will pay attention to investing in the road system to facilitate the movement of goods, develop production; support for seedlings, irrigation works, production land fund, residential land, clean water works, etc.

The working group discussed and answered concerns and grasped the people's thoughts and aspirations, promising to find ways to resolve them soon. At the same time, it requested that people should be proactive in developing production, eliminating backward customs, relying on others, and taking measures to implement family planning... In the near future, 35 households will be relocated to resettlement in Thach Ngan commune, people need to clearly understand the policy and agree to implement it./.
