Although there is still one round left in the season, Man City has set a new record for points in the top flight of the foggy country. The team has surpassed Chelsea's 95 points under Mourinho in the 2004-2005 season. Man City still has a chance to increase their record to a maximum of 100 points if they win the final match at Southampton.

Another Chelsea record that Man City broke last night was the most goals scored in a season. In the 2009-2010 season, Chelsea under Carlo Ancelotti won the title with 104 goals. Thanks to three goals against Brighton, Man City reached 105 goals.

Breaking two records for points and goals in a season shows the terrifying attacking power of Man City. Against a team with no goals like Brighton, Man City continued to show their masterful attacking performance, putting them on a different level compared to the rest of the Premier League this season.

Young Player of the Season Leroy Sane shone, setting up all three goals. First, a perfectly timed through ball for Danilo to beat the offside trap and then two crosses for Silva and Fernandinho to finish past Brighton.

The visitors fought back after falling behind with striker Ulloa equalising. Goalkeeper Claudio Bravo rushed out to tackle Davy Proepper but was unable to catch the ball, allowing Ulloa to head into an empty net afterwards.

However, the equalizer did not help Brighton create a surprise at the Etihad. The home team dominated possession and created consecutive chances to regain the lead in the first half through Silva. Fernandinho's goal in the second half was the decisive goal in a match that belonged to Man City.

This is Man City's final home game of the season and Yaya Toure's last at the Etihad. The Ivorian midfielder is being credited as a key figure in City's successful period, winning three Premier League titles. At the age of 34, Toure will leave Man City after this season and could move to MLS or China.

Man City also have the chance to break the record number of wins in a season in the national championship. They have 31 wins, surpassing Chelsea's record of 30 wins last season and equaling Tottenham's record in the 1960-1961 season.
