Israel claims Iranian forces in Syria attacked Golan Heights
Iranian forces in Syria fired missiles at Israeli military positions in the Golan Heights, one of the leaders of the military press service, Jonathan Konricus, told reporters.

According to him, about 20 missiles were fired at advanced positions on the Golan Heights by the Iranian Al-Quds force. The military representative added that some of the missiles were intercepted by the "Iron Roof" missile system.
He noted that there was no information yet on deaths and material damage as a result of one of the most serious border incidents in recent years.
"The IDF considers the incident as an attack from Iran and as an extremely serious incident," Konricus said.
He added that the Israeli military was responding to the missile attack, but gave no details.
Earlier, air raid sirens were activated over the Israeli-controlled territory of the Golan Heights.
