Giving gifts to students in difficult circumstances in Thanh Chuong
(Baonghean.vn) - On May 12, Colonel Le Nhu Cuong - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Nghe An Border Guard visited and presented gifts to two students with difficult circumstances in Ngoc Lam commune, Thanh Chuong district.
Comrade Le Nhu Cuong presented gifts of 2 lighting lamps and monthly support money to 2 students, Vi Tuan Hung (grade 4) and Luong Thi Hoang (grade 5) of Ngoc Lam Primary School.
These are two students with difficult circumstances and good academic performance who were sponsored by Colonel Le Nhu Cuong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard until they finish high school, with a monthly support of 500,000 VND/child.

At the same time, the two children were also assisted and monitored by officers and soldiers of Ngoc Lam Border Guard Station during their studies in the program "Helping children go to school".
During the 2017-2018 school year, officers and soldiers of the Nghe An Border Guard sponsored 104 students with a minimum support of 500,000 VND/month/child. Among them, there were 20 students from Laos, which borders Nghe An province.
