(Baonghean.vn) - Through the 24th Nghe An Youth Informatics Contest, the Organizing Committee has selected 4 excellent students to participate in the 2018 National Youth Informatics Contest.

On the morning of May 13, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 24th Nghe An Youth Informatics Contest took place.

Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Khoa - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Principal of Vinh University; Comrade Pham Tuan Vinh - Member of the Central Youth Union Standing Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches attended the ceremony and awarded prizes to the contestants.

Before participating in the provincial round, 2,100 students participated in the district preliminary exam to select 218 students to participate in the provincial level in 2 parts: knowledge, skills and creative software.

The knowledge and skills competition had 170 students participating, including 62 primary school students, 42 secondary school students and 67 high school students.

The creative software competition had 47 students participating with 23 products.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 3 First prizes, 10 Second prizes, 15 Third prizes and 39 Consolation prizes for the knowledge and skills competition.

In the creative software competition, 3 second prizes, 4 third prizes and 3 consolation prizes were also awarded to the contestant groups. There was no first prize winner in this competition.

In addition to the awards given by the Organizing Committee, students who won First, Second and Third prizes were awarded Certificates of Merit and prizes by the Department of Education and Training; sponsors presented 3 sets of computers to the 3 students who won First Prize of the contest.


The Organizing Committee also selected 4 candidates with the highest results in each group to participate in the National Youth Informatics Competition in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in early August, including:

1. Nguyen Quang Thanh - Class 5H, Le Mao Primary School, Vinh City.

2. Nguyen Trinh Tuan Dat - Class 9D, Ly Nhat Quang Secondary School, Do Luong.

3. Hoang Phan Huu Duc - Class 10A2, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

4. Duong Van Minh - Class 11A2, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.
