Opening of the 2018 Lotus Village Singing Festival
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 17, at Kim Lien relic site, Nam Dan district, Nghe An Department of Culture - Sports organized the opening ceremony of the 2018 Lotus Village Singing Festival.

The province-wide Lotus Village Singing Festival is the main event within the framework of the 2018 Lotus Village Festival, celebrating the 128th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2018).
The new point of this year's Festival is that the Festival takes place at the outdoor stage at Kim Lien Relic Site with the participation of 20 mass art troupes from 20 districts, cities and towns.

The elaborate and unique singing, dancing and music programs were staged by the troupes, expressing the deep respect and gratitude of the people of Nghe An and the people of the whole country for the great contributions of beloved Uncle Ho - National Liberation Hero, Outstanding Cultural Man.

The festival is a lively cultural activity to propagate and educate the ideology of cadres, soldiers and people nationwide to continue implementing the Campaign to Study and Follow the Moral Example and Lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh; promote the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas". This is also an opportunity for Nghe An to promote the image of Uncle Ho's homeland to domestic and foreign tourists.

The 2018 Lotus Village Singing Festival will officially take place from May 17 to 19, 2018./.
Lotus Village Festival Program 2018:
- May 16, 2018:General rehearsal of the opening ceremony at Lang Sen Stadium; Film screening on the theme of Uncle Ho in Nam Dan district.
- May 17, 2018:Opening of the Youth Camp; Exhibition of photos on the theme of the Party and Uncle Ho; Organizing a kite-flying competition in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district; Opening of the Lotus Village Singing Festival at Kim Lien Relic Site; Offering flowers in memory of Uncle Ho in Vinh city, marching to Uncle Ho's hometown and holding a flower offering ceremony, reporting to Uncle Ho at the memorial house in Kim Lien Relic Site; Ceremony of carrying Uncle Ho's photo from the memorial house to the Lotus Village Stadium; Opening of the Lotus Village Festival 2018.
- May 18, 2018:Continue the activities of the Lotus Village Singing Festival, camping, photo exhibition, kite flying contest and film screening; Final round of Miss Lotus Village Festival at Kim Lien relic site.
