Releasing 1 ton of fish into the largest hydroelectric lake in North Central Vietnam
(Baonghean.vn) - On May 18, a representative of Ban Ve Hydropower Company released 1 ton of fish fry into the Ban Ve Hydropower Reservoir in Yen Na Commune, Tuong Duong District.

There are many fish species released in this batch such as: tilapia, grass carp, bighead carp, bighead carp, red tilapia... This is an action to help restore and regenerate aquatic resources in river and lake basins. Combining the protection of aquatic resources in accordance with the overall economic development, environmental protection of aquatic resources and the interests of sectors and localities in the province. Contributing to changing and raising people's awareness of the importance, value of natural resources, biodiversity and responsibility in protecting aquatic resources.

Ban Ve Hydropower Plant was built in 2004 and officially started generating electricity in 2010. The project has a capacity of 320MW, annually supplying a large amount of electricity to the national power source. Ban Ve Hydropower Reservoir has more than 5,000 hectares of water surface, with a capacity of 1.8 billion m3Water is a favorable condition for people in the region to promote aquaculture, bringing in high income.
On the same day, representatives of Ban Ve Hydropower Company and leaders of relevant departments and branches in Nghe An province held a conference to review natural disaster prevention, control and search and rescue in 2017 and approved the implementation plan for 2018.
At the conference, the parties listened to the representative of Ban Ve Hydropower Company present the achievements, limitations and difficulties in the work of natural disaster prevention, control and search and rescue in 2017. Particularly outstanding was the work of flood discharge and flood prevention to help prevent drought and flood in the lower Lam River.

Also at the conference, leaders of the North Central Hydrometeorological Station; Provincial Rescue Center; and representatives of Tuong Duong district leaders worked together to find solutions to best implement and support disaster prevention, control, and search and rescue.
