On the morning of May 18, information from Ky Anh District Police said that the unit had just arrested 4 subjects who organized a robbery on the National Highway 1A bypass, through Ky Tan Commune, Ky Anh District.
For nearly a week now, Ky Anh District Police have continuously received reports from long-distance drivers that their vehicles have been blocked by a group of people, threatened with swords and robbed of money.
After receiving the report, Ky Anh District Police sent reconnaissance forces to the area to grasp the situation and the activities of the robbery group.
On the evening of May 17, receiving information that a group of robbers were blocking vehicles and threatening long-distance drivers to rob them of money, Ky Anh District Police immediately dispatched forces to coordinate with the Southern Inspection and Control Team of Ha Tinh Traffic Police to lie in ambush on the National Highway 1A bypass to surround and arrest them.

Using professional measures, the authorities arrested four suspects, including two brothers Nguyen Van Quang (born in 1994) and Nguyen Minh Vuong (born in 2001), residing in Song Tri ward, Ky Anh town; Truong Xuan The (born in 1991, residing in Ky Lac commune, Ky Anh district) and Truong Cong Thin (born in 2000, residing in Ky Hai commune, Ky Anh district).
At the police station, the suspects said they used two motorbikes to block trucks, using swords to threaten the drivers and rob them of money. They only robbed 100,000 - 200,000 VND from each vehicle.
On the evening of May 17, this group of robbers stopped and robbed 8 trucks for 800,000 VND.
