VFF deals with the "shocking" video clip related to Mr. Tran Manh Hung
According to official information, the VFF Inspection Board will handle the case of VPF Vice President Tran Manh Hung's "shocking" statement during the meeting.
The audio recording with "inappropriate" words in the meeting of the VFF Inspection Board on May 15 was confirmed to have the words of VPF Vice President Tran Manh Hung and Deputy Referee Board Chairman Duong Van Hien.

Specifically, in the meeting, Mr. Tran Manh Hung asked Mr. Duong Van Hien to go to the newspaper to correct the defamatory statements he had made in the past. In response, Mr. Hien requested that the minutes be recorded as Mr. Tran Manh Hung's threat: "Send his underlings to your house."
The meeting ended when Mr. Hung got angry and got into a fight. Head of the VFF Inspection Committee Nguyen Nam Hung, who chaired the meeting, said: "Before the meeting, the two had exchanged words. When Mr. Hung got upset, the meeting ended. Those were clearly inappropriate actions.We also have reports to VFF leaders waiting for processing."
The VFF Standing Committee has made an official announcement regarding the incident: "On May 15, 2018, the VFF Inspection Committee met under the chairmanship of Head of the Committee Nguyen Nam Hung to review some information that needs to be clarified regarding the management of the national professional football tournament and referees controlling the matches.

At the end of the meeting, there was a lack of restraint between Mr. Tran Manh Hung and Mr. Duong Van Hien. Afterwards, the recording of the meeting was released to the media, causing public outrage.
VFF President (Mr. Le Hung Dung) reminded the relevant parties and requested the VFF Inspection Board to urgently carry out the next steps to handle the case in accordance with regulations."
The recent incident shows the conflicts between the leaders of VPF and VFF. The person who recorded the tape was identified as the Deputy Head of the VFF Referee Board, Duong Van Hien. The person who released the tape is said to be a journalist from the "football revival team", who previously strongly demanded the removal of VFF Vice President Tran Quoc Tuan and General Secretary Le Hoai Anh.
