(Baonghean.vn) - Following a group of friends to the river to bathe, a 10-year-old boy unfortunately slipped and drowned.
The tragic incident occurred on the afternoon of May 20, in Hamlet 6, Quynh Thanh Commune (Quynh Luu District).

Before that, at around 3pm, a boy named L. (10 years old, living in hamlet 3) went swimming with his sister and a group of friends. Because he did not know how to swim, when he waded to the edge of the river, he slipped and drowned. The group of friends quickly called adults for help but it was too late.
Upon receiving the news, representatives of the Commune Police along with many local people went to the scene, rowed boats, and dived to search for the child’s body. However, by the evening of the same day, the boy’s body had still not been found.
It is known that L.'s family is in difficult circumstances. To make a living, her father has to go far away to work.
