Nghe An candidate won first prize in the National Vocational Skills Competition
(Baonghean.vn) - After 10 times of organization, Nghe An has had a contestant win first prize in the National Vocational Skills Competition.
The National Skills Competition is held every two years to honor the young skilled workforce, create a competitive movement to study and practice skills, improve the quality of young skilled workers who directly participate in production, business and services, contributing to increasing labor productivity and national competitiveness.
The 10th National Skills Competition was held from May 13 to 20, 2018 with 520 contestants from 56 delegations competing in 26 occupations.

Participating in the 10th competition, Nghe An delegation had 10 candidates selected from the provincial vocational competition with 10 occupations. As a result, after 1 week of competition, 8/10 candidates won prizes with 1 First prize, 2 Third prizes and 5 Encouragement prizes.
The first prize went to contestant Vi Thi Dieu Vui (sewing) – Nghe An College of Economics - Industry - Handicrafts. Vi Thi Dieu Vui is a Thai ethnic, from Chau Thanh commune, Quy Hop district.
Two third prizes went to Le Khac Luc (automotive technology) and Hoang Van Duc (welding) - Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College.
The consolation prizes were awarded to the professions of tourism - restaurant services, refrigeration, carpentry, bricklaying and electronics.
It is expected that candidates Vi Thi Dieu Vui and Hoang Van Duc will be selected by the Organizing Committee to participate in the 12th ASEAN Skills Competition held in Thailand in late August and early September.
