(Baonghean.vn) - While looking for frogs to improve their meals, two students from Chau Thon Primary School (Que Phong) tragically drowned.

At around 7:00 p.m. on May 22, after dinner, three girls including Ha Thi Hoa (born 2007), Ha Ngoc Chau (born 2008), and Lo Thi Diep (born 2007), students of Chau Thon Primary School (Que Phong), residing in Na Ty village (Chau Thon commune), went to catch frogs to improve their meal.

When she reached the edge of the pond near her house, Ha Thi Hoa accidentally slipped and fell into the pond. Seeing her cousin struggling, Ha Ngoc Chau jumped in to pull her out but also drowned.

At this time, Lo Thi Diep ran back to call adults to come and rescue, took Hoa and Chau to the hospital for emergency care but it was too late.
