On May 25, Anh Son District Police said that the unit had just successfully persuaded and arrested wanted suspect Pham Hong Cong (born in 1994, originally from Thach Son Commune, Anh Son District) to surrender after more than 4 years on the run.
Previously, on February 14, 2014, the Investigation Police Agency of Anh Son District Police prosecuted Pham Hong Cong for theft of property. While being detained at the Anh Son District Police Detention Center, on March 8, 2014, Cong broke out of the prison and escaped through the upper ventilation door in his cell.
After escaping, Cong went to Dak Lak to do business and live. Here, Cong used fake documents with different information to avoid being tracked down by the police. Having fallen in love with a local girl, Cong got married and had a son.
After many years of searching and collecting information about the subject, Anh Son District Police detectives have determined the current residence and family of Cong. The detective force quickly met and influenced Cong's family members to persuade and advise Cong to soon surrender to the police to enjoy the leniency of the law.
Realizing that his actions were against the law and that he could no longer hide, on May 23, 2018, Pham Hong Cong surrendered to the Anh Son District Police.
Currently, the subject Cong is being detained by the Investigation Police Agency of Anh Son District Police, investigated and handled according to the provisions of law.
