(Baonghean.vn) - During use, air conditioners often encounter problems such as the machine running too noisy, cooling poorly, leaking water, etc. Among them, the air conditioner blowing out hot air is a fairly common problem. So, what is the cause, how to handle this "disease"?

1. Wrong fan mode selected

The air conditioner suddenly blows out hot air, and no one knows where the cold air goes - the cause may be due to mistakenly selecting the fan only mode.

On the air conditioner remote control, there are usually modes such as Dry (dehumidification), Cool (cooling), Fan (Fan). Normally, to cool the room, you must always use Cool mode, but if you accidentally choose Fan mode, the air conditioner will only emit hot air or only the fan will operate.

In this case, the solution is very simple, just use the remote control to switch the mode from Fan Cool and the air conditioner will blow out cool air immediately.

2. Filter is too dirty

The air conditioner only blows out hot air, which could also be due to the condenser filter being too dirty; the cold air cannot escape but sticks to the duct and forms ice.

To solve this problem, you should remove the filter and clean it carefully, then turn on the machine in fan mode to let the ice melt gradually. When the ice melts, the machine will operate and blow out cold air as usual. In case the filter is too old, it needs to be replaced.

One thing to note is that when using the air conditioner, remember to clean it periodically to avoid the situation where the air conditioner only blows out hot air but not cold air as mentioned above.

3. Engine block is broken

The compressor is considered the "heart" of the air conditioner. Therefore, when the compressor is damaged, it means that the air exchange process stops working, leaving only the evaporator fan to rotate and blow out hot air.

There are many signs to detect a damaged engine block, such as the machine making noise, unstable temperature, hot air coming out, and the condenser constantly shutting off.

4. Machine "young" gas

During the use of the air conditioner, the amount of gas lost will cause the cooling capacity of the air conditioner to decrease accordingly; when the gas runs out, the machine will no longer blow out cold air.

Normally, air conditioners will hardly run out of gas, except in cases of gas leaks.

So, when the air conditioner blows out hot air, you should call an air conditioner technician to check if there is a gas leak and fix it.

5. Machine fuse is broken

Long term use,The fuse on the filters may have come loose, you need to unplug it and check if the fuse is still working. The fuse of the machine is a small silver plate located inside the machine. If it is not working, you need to replace it with a new one.

6. Frozen gas pipes

The air conditioner blowing hot air may be due to a malfunctioning part inside the device. At this time, open the cold block and use a flashlight to check the inside. Use your finger to touch the air duct, if it feels cold, it means it is frozen.

In this situation, you should turn on the machine in fan mode to melt the ice, combined with opening the window (or room door) to let in fresh air, helping the ice in the pipe melt faster.
