Train derailed, crashed into lamppost when entering station
(Baonghean.vn) - At around 4:30 p.m. on May 26, at Yen Xuan station (Hung Xuan commune, Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An), a freight train suddenly derailed, causing two cars to tilt to one side, blocking the North-South railway.
Initial information said that at that time, the freight train consisted of 1 D18E-602 locomotive pulling 27 freight cars carrying more than 1,245 tons of goods moving from Dong Hoi to Hanoi.

As soon as they entered track 3 of Yen Xuan station, the 3rd and 4th train cars suddenly derailed and tilted 45 degrees to the left of the track, crashing into a lamppost inside the station.
Upon discovering the incident, the train driver stopped the train to notify the authorities to conduct rescue operations. By 7 p.m. the same day, the authorities had cleared the scene of the incident.
