Cong Phuong is not good, but suddenly HAGL is lucky

HAGL's unbeaten streak has extended to 7 matches, an impressive number given that the team from the mountain town has not received much contribution from Cong Phuong over the past 9 matches in the Nuti Cafe V-League.

When Cong Phuong went missing

After 9 matches in V-League, Cong Phuong contributed 2 out of 11 goals of HAGL. That is of course not a bad number for a striker who is well taken care of like the striker of the mountain town team.

However, the way Cong Phuong has scored goals up to this point has been really unimpressive because they have all come from the penalty spot, instead of scoring in the way Minh Vuong, Xuan Truong or Van Toan have done for their team.

Cong Phuong still has not found himself again.

It is not that Cong Phuong's contributions or goals for HAGL are not recognized. But clearly, as mentioned, those who love the Nghe An striker want to see Phuong score more difficult goals instead of being "served" as seen.

But this seems impossible for Cong Phuong, because despite being given countless opportunities, Coach Park Hang Seo's "favorite" striker could not do it, even missed quite ungracefully, so the disappointment for Cong Phuong grew bigger and bigger.

HAGL on a "lucky" streak

If Cong Phuong had only succeeded in about 50% of the delicious chances that his teammates created for this striker, HAGL might now be in a much better position on the 2018 V-League rankings.

HAGL still moves forward.

However, Cong Phuong not scoring or being unlucky suddenly becomes a good thing for HAGL, as it creates opportunities for others to shine. Or simply, the "burden" of having to create for the striker expected to be the number 1 on the side of the mountain town team is somewhat reduced.

Minh Vuong scored goals this way when the player who is especially loved by Coach Park Hang Seo creates opportunities for himself, instead of having to look at where Cong Phuong is to create. Paradoxically, when Cong Phuong is absent, HAGL's passes are also... brighter. Because Van Toan and Minh Vuong are free to play as they wish instead of trying to create for their teammates, then losing the opportunity.

Van Toan also played better when under pressure to pass to his long-time teammates to score, so although he hasn't scored many goals yet, the striker from Hai Duong is finding his inspiration to play football again, playing the role of a trigger for the home team's attacks and goals.

Minh Vuong is making coach Park Hang Seo more and more fascinated.

Not receiving much contribution from Cong Phuong, of course it is difficult for HAGL in attacking plans. But in return, the satellites around Cong Phuong played better when they no longer had to serve the striker from Nghe An to the fullest.

Of course, more than ever, HAGL still needs Cong Phuong to return soon. Because the road ahead is not easy for the mountain town team, when the goal is a high position to use as motivation for the next season with the desire to win the tournament, as Mr. Duc wishes. And because Phuong is still "nailed" in the eyes of HAGL lovers.
